History

Mercy Research and Development is a fast-growing, multidisciplinary, research and development group located in Springfield, Missouri. Established in 2007, the R&D Division is a multi-faceted group of engineers, scientists, marketers, and administrators, who work to create better medical devices and improved treatment procedures, leading to higher quality care for our patients.

Mercy R&D works closely with clinicians and co-workers to identify areas of patient care that could be improved and strives to create innovative, affordable solutions to problems healthcare institutions face every day.

Research

Addressing healthcare needs is usually a job left for doctors and healthcare professionals. Our research is focused in bridging the gap between doctors and patients to create better medical devices and improved treatment procedures, eventually leading to higher quality of care for patients. Beyond developing new and improved medical devices, our active areas of research include infection control, wound healing, device prototyping and corneal wound repair.
